Sometimes two different real-life Métro Stations were used as one. The bridges near La Chapelle Station were used during the montage when Amélie was having no luck finding the right Mr Bretodeau. She takes him on a walk down the Rue Lamarck and comments on the sights as they pass. Later in the film, Amélie spots the blind man she met earlier. This station is where Amélie meets the blind man playing his record on the platform. Some scenes were filmed in a different area of France, Val-d’Oise, just north of Paris. The interior shots were filmed in a studio in Cologne, Germany. Most of the film locations are there but a few are dotted around the city. The film’s director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, lived in Montmartre which is a neighbourhood in Northern Paris.
